She got a chance to play in a movie directed by Ridley Scott. She also got a chance to play beside two of those well known actors in Hollywood. This is of course an alluring chance for a young beautiful Iranian actress who would like to bridge between nations and prosper in her own occupation, but the question is that what mesmerized her so much that she ruined all the  ways back to her country?

The Body of Lies in its simplest description is an asthenic imitation of "Syriana" Which is trying to present a savage, boneheaded and a dolt image from Muslims. Although this is not the first time that Hollywood approaches the issue in this way but the interesting point lies on recruiting an actress from an Islamic country who had been a historic foe of United state since last 3 decades. She played in such a movie, showed up on red carpet with her special dress which is not only acceptable according to Islamic republic rules but most of conservative and conventional Iranians do not admire it. This is not the end of story and she openly told to an interviewer that she has no intention to come back to Iran and is eagerly waiting for the next offer in Hollywood.

It is in fact an oridnary dicesion by an ordinary person who is enjoying the freedom of decision and nothing more. But a flashback to the older Iranian actors and actresses who stepped in this way reveals more.  Shohre Aghdashloo the most famous Iranian actress and the nominee for Oscar 2004 who has been living abroad since 1970s had no better chance than playing in several few small scenes afterward. Behrooz Vosooghi the best Iranian actor since 1960's has had worse experience in Hollywood. Now I beleive it is time to hope for her to be fortunate and won't become lost in the seductive flamboyant west that only money , beauty and repudity talk!

On November 26 ,2008 The General Assembly approved six pro-Palestinian resolutions over U.S. and Israeli objections,  aimed at showing the world body's solidarity with Palestinian demands for an independent homeland and promoting the Palestinian people's rights and limiting Israel's actions in Jerusalem and the Syrian Golan.  Each adopted resolutions received more than 100 " yes" votes. But this news was not published in any world famous English-language news websites including BBC, CNN, Herald Tribune, Haaretz, Daily Telegraph, New york Times, Washington Post and many others astonishingly! This vast,  incredible and meaningful censorship of the news by English-language news websites which are seemingly under the pressure of Zionism lobby, has one clear and loud message from the ones who have been the most claimant of the freedom of speech and democracy in the world:

Comments by an Israeli cabinet minister, Rafi Eitan, to Der Spiegel are raising speculation about an Israeli operation aimed at kidnapping President Ahmadinejad of Iran and putting him on trial for inciting genocide. As the Telegraph recounts it in a dispatch we carry in today's New York Sun, Mr. Eitan, a veteran of the Mossad operation against Adolf Eichmann, was asked if the Israeli spy agency still operated against the Nazis. "That era is over," he said. "But that's not to say that such operations are completely a thing of the past. It could very well be that a leader such as Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad suddenly finds himself before the International Criminal Court in The Hague."

Well, I guess it is quite apparent and indeed doesn't need to reiterate the true essence of the Israeli regime which based on terror, kidnap and genocide of thousands since the very first day of its establishment and in fact it is not very astonishing to hear such an abusive and insulting statement either by the cabinet minister or their penster at The New York Sun! Who can denies that if there was a just and rightful judiaciary system, let's say the International Criminal Court in the Hague, the first and the most wanted criminals in the world would have been Ehud Olmert, Ehud Barak, Shimon Peres, Benjamin Netanyahu and all those who killed , kidnapped, tortured, slaughtered and made millions of Palestinians homeless and roofless.

However, I believe this is only a silly brag to frighten the president of Islamic Republic of Iran amid his third presence at general assembly in New York. Believe it or not, the last presence of AhmadiNejad and his brightening speeches on the scene of United Nation and the Columbia University cost a lot for the Israeli lobby at United States who is by all means trying to present a Holocaust-denying, nuclear -bomb-building and a terror-sponsoring state from Islamic Republic of Iran.

It is the time now to at all costs sue the New York Sun newspaper and teach them a lesson that the next time they develope the idea of kidnapping a person , especially the president of a country, they might find it a little bit troublesome!

Fugee Fridays is a weekly initiative that brings donated food from the Carmel Market to African refugees in south Tel Aviv. Every Friday, a group of volunteers gathers late in the afternoon at the end of the market and begins collecting food, which is then transported to various refugee shelters.

I would like to categorize these photos under " No comment" photos since they have a very loud and audible voice. By the way I can't conceal my pitiful feeling for these refugees who have sheltered under the umbrella of occupation! To make the same situation for millions of Palestinians who have lived generation after another in miserable condition in refugee camps all over the world, and gathering food for African black refugees at the same time is something absolutely absurd and disgusting!

When it comes to threatening, Israel with major support of his western allies, is still the most ridiculous animal. It is hard to believe that a country with the total area of 20,000 km2 and the population of only 7 millions can stand against a country which is at least 80 times bigger than its size and has a generation which by no means can be compared with his indolent young generation. In my opinion the Israeli people do not have sufficient internal and moral justification to devote their life for their so-called promised land.  The history can not forget the big defeat on 33 days July 2006 battle in Lebanon. let’s think more wisely Mr. Sarkozy! This regime is not big enough and does not have the capacity to even think about waging the war against Iran.

People were polite to me, but after several weeks I still felt I hadn't had a real conversation with anyone. I made a point of saying hello to people I recognized , and they said hello back, but no one said hello to me first or stopped to talk to me. I tried to follow Madame Sentier's advice about talking as much as I could , but I was given so little encouragement that my thoughts dried up.

It is of course a good idea for those students who are studying abroad or even the guys who are putting effort in the path of science inside the country to give a brief description of what they are currently involved in as their master or PhD projects. I am always eager to read such a short report on my friends’ weblog. Unfortunately this is not very common that they write about these things on their homepage except one outstanding guy who regularly writes some notes about his scientific interests.  

Hereinafter I would like to give a short description of what I have done as my Master project during these 4 and half months here in Institute of Fluid Mechanics of Braunschweig, the center of aerospace industry of Germany.

Starting from scratch, I have to mention that this project is actually aimed to simulate an experimental case of   Rist and Lang (2005) at institute of IAG in Stuttgart of Germany.

The given test case was originally examined in a water tunnel experiment at Reynolds number of 100,000, consisting of laminar channel flow which is first accelerated and then decelerated by an arbitrary slender shaped body the so called displacement body located at the upper wall. The pressure rise in the deceleration portion of the facility is strong enough to yield laminar separation bubble which is followed by turbulent reattachment ,forming a closed bubble.

The term separation bubble is simply that bubble shape zone in the figure below where the flow starts to gain negative value in the begininng or in the language of fluid mechanics, starts to separate. This in fact is due to the strong pressure rise in the channel. As we march downstream from the neck of the channel, we reach to the position that the momentum of flow can not conquer the imposed force by pressure rise and flow confronts a strong backward force which eventually leads to its separation.

The start point of this phenomenon is somewhere in the laminar region where the turbulence has not shown up yet ( This indeed depends on the level of turbulence of free stream, the higher the level of turbulence and external perturbation the earlier the onset of turbulence) . However at that Reynolds number the transition to turbulence is inevitable. Transition stage starts somewhere in the middle of the bubble which finally ends up with turbulence. The turbulence and the chaotic situation in that region causes a substantial increase in kinetic energy of the flow and this fortunately leads to higher momentum and after all close up of the bubble. Mixing this phenomenon with the most complicated and unknown animal in fluid mechanics, transition process, has made it a demanding task that needs to be studied in depth. Actually the studying of laminar separation bubble is of great interest for aerospace industry due to its substantial effect in lift and drag of airfoils in landing stage of the flight. The other important area of its occurrence is in turbo machineries.

Well... after a year and half that I left my country to abroad to pursue my education, at this stage I really feel essential to write sometimes in English. this is important for me in two different aspects. firstly it helps me to revive my knowledge of English in the country that you can barely find a person whom you can talk in English.

secondly and more importantly my friends who are not Iranian and do like to read my blog, have requested me to write in English word in order that they can apprehend something from my damn good weblog! I have to confess that once, one of them implored me and bent over his knee and wept in front of me to ask me to write some lines in English as he was very eager to know my opinion about one special topic that I had not divulged mine about that! So... here you are!that's what you wanted.

Although I am not finding myself very convenient and dexterous in writing my diaries, comments and views in English ,and I do not believe that English can carry the burden of maturity of the words and thought as strong as Farsi can do , but this will hopefully be fun! let's try it out...

In my opinion, there are several reasons that inhibit and hinder us from writing out the blog in English and the most important one is that we fear that a guy bursts from an outlandish place who knows English better and finally he makes fun of us! and of course there will be always someone whose hands are over us in all areas! that's not what I fear of it at all! so I do accept any comment on the way forward even though it will be in a mocking way! who cares...!

At least at the moment I would like to inscribe a post in English in this weblog. maybe I do change my mind and quit this ****ing language sooner than expected! This may be a passion that subsides as time goes on. like a lorn glim of candle in the passing breeze of life...

The turbulent world around us

The turbulent motion of fluids has captured the fancy of observers of nature for most of recorded history. From howling winds to swollen floodwaters, the omnipresence of turbulence paralyzes continents and challenges our quest for authority over the world around us. But it also delights us with its unending variety of artistic forms. Subconsciously we find ourselves observing exhaust jets on a frosty day; we are willingly hypnotized by licking flames in an open hearth. Babbling brooks and billowing clouds fascinate adult and child alike. From falling leaves to the swirls of cream in steaming coffee, turbulence constantly competes for our attention.

Turbulence by its handiwork immeasurably enriches the lives of even those who cannot comprehend its mysteries. Art museums are filled with artists attempt to depict turbulence in the world around us.

Yesterday we came together to celebrate the Birthday of Jesus Christ in Tehran. But a few days sooner. At First Father Kishishian gave a speech and after him Mr. Sharmin did. The most important point of their speech was about the real Christian and Moslem. He mentioned to be a real Christian or Moslem you should act like a real Moslem or Christian and it is not enough to just carry the name of Christianity or Islam. When someone gives hand to a poor person he has taken a step toward the true Christianity. The way of salvation is the way to behave in the way of Mohammad Jesus Ali and Hussein (Peace be upon them).  Patterning the way of their life will help us in this way. Christianity, Islam or to whatever religion we believe in, let’s help the poor people.

“The Community of Imam Ali” with the goal of helping the destitute people and eliminating the indigence, vice and degeneration in the society was established by some Iranian youth. We want  the people in all around the world to be active in this way too. Isn’t it the time to ignite the flame of friendship, kindness and humanitarianism in this machine oriented world again?
